A major tourist attraction in Saudia Arabia’s bustling King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) is the Royal Greens Golf and Country Club. The 800,000 sqm championship golf course is yet another benefit in the long list of amenities available to investors and tourists who visit KAEC, the bridge between East and West, and the economic hub of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Announced in 2014, Royal Greens was slated to be an expansive luxury facility. The construction of the course was the handiwork of Citiscape Company, founded in 2010 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Citiscape specializes in high-end commercial landscape solutions for resorts, parks, golf courses, mega construction and private projects. The course was designed by European Golf Design, a company established in 1992 as a joint venture between PGA European Tour and London-based IMG. The SR85 million project had an official launch date in late 2015.European Tour has organized more than 100 professional golf events. IMG is the globally-recognized sports, fashion, and media company.

You may be familiar with IMG Academy, the immersive, high-performance boarding school for elite student-athletes, that doubles as a high-intensity training ground for competing Olympians. IMG Academy is one of the only programs in the world for amateur athletes that regularly incorporates sports training with data-driven performance technology and analytics. Together, the two companies, acting as European Golf Design, have been responsible for some of the most prestigious golf courses in Europe, Africa, and Asia, of which Royal Greens is one.

Royal Greens is a high-tech luxury entertainment complex that couples leisurely play with a culture of performance excellence. The private golf club provides ample opportunities for both skilled golfers and novices to get active, to engage, and to relax in a fun environment. The facility has a world-class training academy that includes web-based training modules that members can access from anywhere in the world using the Royal Greens website. That means you don’t have to be at the facility to progress in your training. As well, the club has a state-of-the-art practice facility, a short game area, and areas designated for bunker, chipping and putting practice.

Royal Greens Golf and Country Club at KAEC offers members different levels of access to the facility based on its different membership levels. The club currently has corporate, family, and individual memberships. Royal Greens members have access to professional golf instruction, or they can take advantage of some of the club’s other benefits like hosting events, booking meeting spaces, VIP areas, leisure areas, and several gourmet dining options.
